Chris Canelos, an optician, who has been working in the optical industry for 29+ years, noticed that many clients from Cape Cod were going into Boston to buy their eye-wear.  He began his optical career in a lens factory grinding lenses. He moved on to be a lab manager/General Manager in the largest optical chain in the world. From there, he managed a high end optical store on Newbury St.  When he asked the Cape resident's why they were travelling so far to get their glasses, it turned out that many felt that there wasn't an Optical Store down the Cape that had what they were looking for.  Thus the idea for Sia Optical was born.  We carry clean classic styles, bold, trendy, fashionable glasses and sunglasses.  We wanted to bring high end as well as affordable  glasses to the Cape. Having opened the doors in 2010, we are always watching for the latest in eye-wear and lens technology.

Chris Canelos is a resident of Falmouth. He and his family are enjoying his much shorter commute. The name of the store is after his first daughters nickname (Sia). Sia is now 15 , and Daughter #2 (Sofia) is 13 and is starting to realize that the store is named after her big sister. Chris is in big trouble. On January 31st 2014 we welcomed daughter #3 (Cecilia) who is now 10.  He is surrounded by girls. Please stop by and see us, we have many weddings to pay for.
